Zavedení

This document contains essential information – please read it carefully before making any
attempt to upgrade the system. If any steps are unclear or your system does not meet the
requirements stated below, contact your local SSL office prior to attempting this update.

This document describes the software and firmware installation for SSL Live consoles, MADI I/O and local/remote Dante routing hardware (Local Dante Expander, BL II Bridge and X-Light
Bridge) where applicable. For Network I/O stagebox update instructions, refer to the download
package linked below.

V6.1.7 is a major release recommend for all users.

Důležité poznámky

1. USB-based FPP Dante Control network interfaces installed in early Live consoles are no
   longer supported. If the console has not yet been upgraded to a PCIe-based network
   interface, contact your local support office prior to commencing the update.
2. The console must be running version V5.1.14 Control Software or later at the point of
   aktualizovat.

Poznámka:: The Update button next to the OCP Brooklyn Software entry in the system list will transfer a .dnt file to an attached USB stick. This Update button function is always active regardless of whether an update is required or not. This function is for Brooklyn II only. Brooklyn III firmware (and all other SSL Dante firmware) is available via the Network I/O V4.4 Package download.

Vytvořte USB flash disk s plochou instalací

1. Stáhněte si obraz softwaru Live V6.1.7 file from the SSL Support Site.
2. [Volitelné] Spusťte kontrolní součet u staženého souboru file using WinMD5. The checksum value is: 559d90c893be10b288a788c158969581
3. Stáhněte si Rufus 3.5 a spusťte aplikaci .exe. Vyberte obrázek softwaru file in Boot
   selection, choose the correct USB drive under Device, and ensure the Partition scheme is set to GPT.
4. Zadejte vhodný štítek svazku, aby bylo možné jednotku v budoucnu identifikovat. např. Live V6.1.7 Flat Installer
5. Vyberte Start a potvrďte, že chcete vymazat všechna data na USB disku, kliknutím na OK. Rufus nyní rozdělí vaše zařízení a zkopíruje soubor files. (USB2 bude trvat přibližně 30 minut, USB3 5 minut)
6. Po dokončení procesu se zobrazí „Důležité upozornění o zabezpečeném spouštění“. Toto lze ignorovat – stiskněte Zavřít. USB Flat Installer je nyní připraven k použití.
   
   
   

Poznámka:: Paměťová jednotka USB, která se identifikuje jako pevný disk, nebude pro tuto aktualizaci vhodná. Použijte USB flash disk, který se identifikuje jako vyměnitelné úložné zařízení.

Nainstalujte software konzoly

Příprava a aktualizace objednávky

1. Záloha systému files – vložte náhradní USB disk (ne Flat Installer) a přejděte na
   Nabídka>Nastavení>Systém/Napájení pro použití funkce Zálohování dat.
2. Načíst prázdný pořadfile šablona – vymaže směrování a vzdá se jakéhokoli vlastnictví.
3. Nastavte konzolu na Interní hodiny a provozní režim 96 kHz.
4. Take note of Connectivity network address if fixed.
5. Power off the console and remove external screen connections if present.
6. Odeberte nebo vypněte pomocná I/O, síťová a USB zařízení, která nejsou pro aktualizaci nutná.
7. Update console FPP Control Software (flat install) – approx. 20 minutes
8. Automatic OCP (DSP Engine) software updates – approx. 5 minutes
9. Update 020 PCIe Routing Card firmware from GUI – approx. 8 minutes
10. Další aktualizace včetně SOLSA a TeamViewv případě potřeby opětovnou instalaci.

Aktualizace operačního systému a ovládacího softwaru
This process takes approximately 20 minutes to complete

1. Vložte instalační USB klíč a klávesnici do všech dostupných USB portů.
2. Power on the console and tap F7 on the keyboard continuously to open the Boot
   Manager menu. Note that the appearance of this menu may differ between consoles.
3. Use the Up/Down arrow keys on the keyboard to select the UEFI/EFI device as per the
   screenshots below, then press Enter. The console will now boot from the installer.

   Command Prompt window ‘Solid State Logic Tempest Installer’ will be shown with a list
   of selection options numbered 1-6.
   Choose option 1) Install image and KEEP user data. This retains the existing console
   konfigurace.

   Upon completion, the message ‘The operation completed successfully. Please press
   1 to REBOOT.’ is displayed.
   Remove the USB memory stick from the console, then follow the onscreen instruction and press number 1 on the keyboard to reboot:
    
6. Windows Setup will begin with various progress screens and automatic restarts during
   this process. At times it may look like the installer is not active and your screen may go
   blank with a ‘No Input’ or ‘Out of range’ message.
   Be patient and DO NOT power cycle the console during this process.
   When complete the console will boot into the usual Front Panel display/console GUI.
7. Navigate to MENU>Setup>System/Power and verify that the Current Version
   numbers for the Control Software and Operating System match those listed in the
   tabulka výše.
8. Restart the console once more to permit the console name and other configuration files

9. If Connectivity network previously fixed, but DHCP server present it will be set to DHCP.
   Revert manually back to required fixed settings.

Software OCP (automaticky)
This process takes approximately 5 minutes to complete

This process is automatic and will happen once the FPP has booted into the new software.
Menu>Setup>System/Power will show ‘Automatic Update Pending’ next to the OCP
Software entry, followed by ‘Chyba: Connection Lost’ for both this and OCP 020 Card. This
is a result of code being downloaded and the OCP rebooting itself. Connection will re-establish
itself shortly afterwards. Upon reconnection both the OCP and OCP 020 card will display their
current version. Refer to the ‘Console Software & Firmware Overview’ table earlier in this
document to confirm these.

Karta OCP 020
This process takes approximately 8 minutes to complete

The OCP 020 card will show a required update. Press-and-hold the Update button. This will
take approximately 8 minutes to complete, with a progress bar shown onscreen.
DO NOT power cycle the console during this process.
Upon completion, restart the console and confirm the programmed version is correct,
referencing the ‘Console Software & Firmware Overview' stůl.

Update Surface Tiles (as required)

The Menu>Setup>System/Power page lists all connected control surface tiles and internal card
assemblies that can be programmed. Required control surface updates are automatically
prompted and can be completed in any order. Press-and-hold the active Update button(s). The
screen and surface will be locked out while each update is in progress. Control surface tiles will
automatically restart and reconnect upon completion. Repeat the process for all required tiles.

Aktualizace síťového I/O

The Network I/O V4.4 Package includes all firmware and required applications for Network I/O
stageboxes and other SSL Dante devices. Refer to the V4.4 Package documentation.

Poznámka:: Recent Network I/O devices use Bk3 instead of BkII modules; features are the
same across both versions but the .dnt firmware files differ. Refer to the Firmware/Software
tables above as well as the details in the Network I/O V4.4 Package documentation.

Download the package from the SSL Support Site then refer to the included installation notes.

Instalace týmuViewer

Contact your local SSL Distributor or SSL Support office to obtain a service code and full
instructions if this feature is required. Instructions are available on the SSL Support Site for
registered Live users – see Live Application Note 021.

Instalace/aktualizace aplikací SSL Live TaCo

TaCo’s version number is displayed in the bottom right corner of the TaCo app. A new version
of TaCo was released for V5.x console software – refer to the tables above for more
informace.

If already installed and automatic app updates on your device are set to “Off” (recommended),
the SSL Live TaCo app will need to be updated manually as below.
