To perform a test of the sMRT ALERT, ensure the arming switch is OFF and hold the TEST button for more than 3 seconds. The LEDs will display the current test status (e.g., solid green for a successful start).
The device can be activated manually by pressing the ON button for 1 second when armed, or it will activate automatically upon being fully immersed in water for at least 2 seconds.
The sMRT ALERT operates on a 9V Lithium battery and has a 5-year service life. The device must be serviced by an authorized service partner every 5 years.
