Dimming can occur if the project is too far from the power supply due to voltage drop. Proper gauge wire is needed for runs over 15 feet. Also, check if your dimmer dial is properly set.
Ensure your dimming power supply is wired to a compatible dimmer switch. Check for secure solder connections and correct polarity. Voltage drop from runs over 15 feet can also cause flickering.
Wipe the surface with an alcohol wipe before applying. For difficult surfaces, use 3M Primer 94, or consider Nova Flex's hard or soft LED strip light clips or aluminum mounting channels.
