This manual provides essential information for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Intel® Core™ i5-14400 Desktop Processor. The Intel Core i5-14400 is a 14th generation desktop processor designed for high performance in gaming and productivity tasks. It features a performance hybrid architecture with 10 cores (6 P-cores + 4 E-cores) and 16 threads, along with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 730.
It supports PCIe 5.0 & 4.0, DDR5 and DDR4 memory, and is compatible with Intel 700 Series and Intel 600 Series Chipset based motherboards. An Intel Laminar RM1 thermal solution is included in the box.

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and longevity of your processor. Please follow these steps carefully.
1. Kontrolní seznam před instalací
- Ensure your motherboard is compatible with Intel 14th Gen processors (Intel 600 or 700 Series chipset). A BIOS update may be required for 600 Series motherboards.

- Gather necessary tools: Phillips head screwdriver, thermal paste (if not pre-applied on cooler), anti-static wrist strap.

2. Instalace procesoru

- Manipulace s procesorem: Hold the processor by its edges. Do not touch the gold contacts or the top surface.
- Zarovnat a vložit: Carefully align the triangular marker on the processor with the corresponding marker on the CPU socket. Gently lower the processor into the socket. Do not force it.
- Zabezpečení procesoru: Zavřete nosnou desku a zatlačte dolů zajišťovací rameno, dokud nezacvakne na místo.
3. Cooler Installation (Intel Laminar RM1)
The Intel Laminar RM1 cooler is included for efficient thermal management.
- Naneste termální pastu: If the cooler does not have pre-applied thermal paste, apply a small pea-sized amount to the center of the CPU's integrated heat spreader (IHS).

- Zajistěte chladič: Press down on each push-pin until it clicks into place. Ensure all four pins are securely fastened.

No Display / System Not Booting

- Zkontrolujte kabely: Ensure all power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU power) are securely connected to the motherboard and PSU.

- Reset BIOSu/UEFI: Clear the CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) by removing the motherboard battery for a few minutes or using the CMOS clear jumper/button.
Overheating / Thermal Throttling
- Instalace chladiče: Verify the CPU cooler is properly seated and all mounting pins/screws are tightened.
