5.1 Choosing the Right Location:

5.2 Mounting the Detector:
The CPVAN FSI-3001 offers two installation methods: magnetic mounting or screw mounting.
Method 1: Magnetic Mounting (Recommended for ease of removal)
- Ensure the mounting surface (ceiling or wall) is clean and dry.
- Peel off the protective film from one side of the adhesive magnetic disc and attach it firmly to the back of the smoke detector.
- Peel off the protective film from the other side of the adhesive magnetic disc and attach it to the desired installation spot on the ceiling or wall. Press firmly for 30 seconds to ensure good adhesion.
- Align the smoke detector with the magnetic disc on the ceiling/wall and allow the magnets to connect.
Method 2: Screw Mounting (Recommended for permanent and secure installation)

5.3 Interconnection Setup:
CPVAN FSI-3001 detectors are pre-linked at the factory. If you purchase multiple units, they should already be interconnected. To verify or re-establish interconnection:
- Ensure all detectors are powered on.
- Press the Test/Silence button on one detector. All interconnected detectors should sound the alarm within a few seconds.
