Follow these steps to set up your ASUS RP-AX58 range extender:

1. Počáteční umístění

Plug the RP-AX58 into a power outlet near your existing WiFi router. Ensure it is within a reasonable range to receive a strong signal for initial configuration.

• Using the ASUS Router App (Recommended for AiMesh):
  1. Download the ASUS Router app on your mobile device.
  2. Ensure your main ASUS router is powered on and connected to the internet.
  3. In the app, navigate to the AiMesh section and select "Add AiMesh Node."
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and add the RP-AX58.

• Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):

3 Optimální umístění

Once configured, unplug the RP-AX58 and move it to a location between your router and the area with poor WiFi coverage. Operating the RP-AX58

The LED indicator on the front of the RP-AX58 provides status information:

• Aktualizace firmwaru: Regularly check for and install firmware updates through the ASUS Router app or the web rozhraní (http://repeater.asus.com) to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Čištění: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols. Ensure ventilation slots are free from dust.

• Cannot connect to the extender:
  • Ensure the extender is powered on and the LED indicator is active.

  • If using WPS, ensure you press the WPS buttons on both devices within the time limit.
  • Try resetting the extender to factory defaults and reconfiguring.
• Weak or unstable signal after setup:
  • Adjust the extender's position. It should be placed roughly halfway between your router and the desired coverage area, where it can still receive a strong signal from the router.
  • Check for physical obstructions like thick walls or large metal objects that might interfere with the signal.

• Extender occupies the entire wall outlet:
  • Due to its design, the RP-AX58 may block the second outlet in a standard duplex wall receptacle. Consider using a power strip or an outlet where only one receptacle is needed.

  • With the device powered on, use a paperclip or a thin object to press and hold the Reset button for approximately 5-10 seconds until the LED indicator starts blinking rapidly.
