3. Nastavení

3.1. Systémové požadavky

Ujistěte se, že váš počítač splňuje minimální systémové požadavky:

• Operating System: Windows 7/8/10/11 or Mac OS 10.7.x ~ 11.x (Big Sur)

3.2. Instalace softwaru

1. Download the latest drivers and SilverFast Ai Studio 8 software from the official Plustek webweb (www.plustek.com).
2. Run the installer for the drivers first, following the on-screen instructions.
3. Install SilverFast Ai Studio 8. You will need to register your software using the provided license key.

3.3. Hardwarové připojení

1. Připojte napájecí adaptér ke skeneru a poté do elektrické zásuvky.
2. Connect the USB cable to the scanner and then to an available USB port on your computer.
3. Power on the scanner using the power button. The indicator light should illuminate.

3.4. IT8 Calibration

4. Návod k obsluze

4.1. Vkládání filmu a diapozitivů

1. Open the appropriate film holder (35mm negative or slide holder).
2. Carefully place your film strips or mounted slides into the designated slots, ensuring they are flat and correctly oriented.
3. Close the film holder securely.
4. Insert the loaded film holder into the scanner's film slot.

4.2. Scanning Process with SilverFast Ai Studio 8

Launch SilverFast Ai Studio 8 software on your computer.

1. Předview Skenovat: Initiate a preview scan within SilverFast to see a low-resolution version of your film/slide. This allows for cropping and initial adjustments.
2. Upravit nastavení: Utilize SilverFast's tools for color correction, exposure adjustment, and other enhancements.
3. iSRD (Infrared Dust & Scratch Removal): Activate the iSRD feature. The scanner's built-in infrared channel detects and removes dust and scratches from the film surface, significantly reducing the need for manual retouching.

4. HDRi (zobrazování s vysokým dynamickým rozsahem): Enable HDRi to capture 64-bit RAW data, including information from the infrared channel. This provides maximum detail and dynamic range for post-processing.

5. 16bitový histogram: Use the 16-bit histogram tool for precise adjustment of black point, white point, and midtones, ensuring optimal tonal range in your scans.

6. Final Scan: Once settings are optimized, initiate the final high-resolution scan. Save your digital images in your preferred format.

4.3. Using IntelliScan and QuickScan Buttons

The scanner features two front panel buttons for quick operations:

• IntelliScan: Configurable through SilverFast, this button can be assigned to perform a specific scanning task or open the SilverFast software.
• QuickScan: Also configurable, this button can be set to perform a quick scan with predefined settings or launch a specific application.

5. Údržba

5.1. Čištění skeneru

• For the film path and glass surfaces, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution to avoid scratches and residue. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the scanner.

5.2. Film Holder Care

Keep film holders clean and free of dust or debris, as these can transfer to your film and affect scan quality. Store them in a clean, dry place when not in use.
