1. Úvod
The Berrcom Non-Contact Infrared Forehead Thermometer (Model JXB-182) is a versatile 3-in-1 digital device designed for accurate and hygienic temperature measurement. It can measure body temperature (forehead), surface temperature of objects, and ambient room temperature without physical contact. This manual provides essential information for proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your thermometer.

2. Nastavení
Before first use, ensure the batteries are correctly installed. The thermometer requires 2 AAA batteries.
2.1 Instalace baterie
- Locate the battery compartment cover at the bottom of the handle.
- Posunutím otevřete kryt.
- Vložte 2 baterie typu AAA a dbejte na správnou polaritu (+/-) vyznačenou uvnitř přihrádky.
- Bezpečně zavřete kryt bateriového prostoru.

2.2 Počáteční zapnutí
Press the 'Scan' button to turn on the device. The LCD screen will light up, and the device will enter 'Standby Mode'.
3. Návod k obsluze
3.1 Změna režimů měření
The thermometer offers three measurement modes: Body, Room, and Surface Temperature. To switch between modes, press the 'MODE' button. The selected mode will be displayed on the screen.
- Režim těla: For measuring human body temperature (forehead).
- Režim místnosti: For measuring ambient room temperature.
- Surface Temp Mode: For measuring the surface temperature of objects (e.g., milk, bath water).

3.2 Provedení měření
- Ensure the device is in the desired measurement mode (Body, Room, or Surface Temp).
- For body temperature, aim the thermometer at the center of the forehead from a distance of 3-5 cm (1.2-2 inches). For surface or room temperature, aim at the desired object or area.
- Press the 'Scan' button. The temperature reading will appear on the LCD screen within 1 second.

3.3 Fever Alert and Backlight
The thermometer features a 3-color LCD backlight system to indicate temperature levels:
- Zelené podsvícení: Normal temperature (e.g., < 37.3°C / 99.1°F).
- Oranžové podsvícení: Slightly elevated temperature (e.g., 37.3°C - 37.9°C / 99.1°F - 100.2°F).
- Červené podsvícení: High temperature/fever (e.g., > 38.0°C / 100.4°F). An audible alarm will also sound.

3.4 Funkce paměti
The thermometer can store up to 32 previous temperature readings. To view stored data, press the 'MEM' button. Each press will cycle through the stored readings.
3.5 Přepínání teplotních jednotek (°C/°F)
To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, press and hold the 'MODE' button for 2 seconds until the unit changes on the display.
3.6 Ovládání zvuku
To turn the audible beep on or off, press the speaker icon button. The display will show 'ON' or 'OFF' to confirm the setting.
4. Údržba
4.1 Čištění
Wipe the thermometer body with a soft, dry cloth. For the probe, use an alcohol swab or cotton swab moistened with alcohol to gently clean the surface. Ensure no liquid enters the device.
4.2 Skladování
Teploměr skladujte na chladném a suchém místě mimo dosah přímého slunečního záření a extrémních teplot. Pokud přístroj nebudete delší dobu používat, vyjměte baterie.
5. Řešení problémů
If the thermometer is not functioning as expected, please check the following:
- No display/Power issues: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace with new AAA batteries if necessary.
- Nepřesné údaje: Ensure the measuring distance is correct (3-5 cm from the forehead). Avoid taking measurements immediately after physical activity, bathing, or exposure to extreme temperatures. Allow the device to adjust to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before use.
- 'HI' or 'LO' displayed: 'HI' indicates a temperature above the measuring range, and 'LO' indicates a temperature below the measuring range. Ensure the device is used within its specified operating temperature range.
