1. Úvod
The Berrcom JXB-178 is a versatile 3-in-1 non-contact infrared thermometer designed for accurate and reliable temperature measurement. It can be used to measure body temperature, as well as the temperature of objects and rooms. Its non-contact design ensures hygiene and ease of use, making it ideal for infants, children, and adults. The device features a backlit LCD display for clear readings, a fever alarm, and a memory function to store previous measurements.

3. Nastavení
3.1 Instalace baterie
The Berrcom JXB-178 thermometer requires 2 AA batteries (not included).
- Najděte krytku přihrádky na baterie na rukojeti teploměru.
- Posuňte kryt dolů a otevřete přihrádku.
- Vložte dvě baterie typu AA a dbejte na správnou polaritu (+ a -) vyznačenou uvnitř přihrádky.
- Zasuňte kryt baterie zpět na místo, dokud bezpečně nezapadne.

4. Návod k obsluze
4.1 Zapnutí/vypnutí
- To power on: Press the measurement trigger button. The device will perform a self-test and display the last reading.
- To power off: The device will automatically shut off after 30 seconds of inactivity to conserve energy.
4.2 Měření tělesné teploty
- Ensure the thermometer is in Body mode. If not, press the 'MODE' button to switch to Body mode.
- Hold the thermometer 3-5 cm (1.2-2 inches) away from the center of the forehead.
- Press the measurement trigger button.
- The temperature reading will be displayed on the LCD screen within one second.

4.3 Measuring Object/Room Temperature
- Press the 'MODE' button to switch to Object mode (indicated by a house icon or similar).

4.4 Fever Alarm and Backlight
The thermometer features a color-coded backlight and an audible alarm to indicate temperature status:
- Zelené podsvícení: Indicates normal body temperature (typically < 37.3°C / 99.1°F).
- Oranžové podsvícení: Indicates slight fever (typically 37.4°C - 37.9°C / 99.3°F - 100.2°F).
- Červené podsvícení: Indicates high fever (typically ≥ 38°C / 100.4°F). An audible alarm will also sound.

4.5 Funkce paměti
The thermometer can store the last 32 temperature measurements.
- To access memory: Press the 'MEM' button. Each press will cycle through the stored readings.

4.6 Převod jednotek (°C/°F)
The temperature unit can be switched between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
- To switch units: While the device is on, press and hold the 'MODE' button for a few seconds until the unit changes.
4.7 Tichý režim
The thermometer can operate in silent mode to avoid disturbing sleeping individuals.
- To activate/deactivate silent mode: Press the sound icon button (usually next to the 'MODE' button).
5. Údržba
5.1 Čištění
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the thermometer body.
- For the sensor lens, gently wipe with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol. Allow to dry completely before use.
- Nepoužívejte abrazivní čisticí prostředky ani neponořujte zařízení do vody.
5.2 Skladování
- Teploměr skladujte na chladném a suchém místě, mimo dosah přímého slunečního záření a extrémních teplot.
- Pokud zařízení nebudete delší dobu používat, vyjměte baterie, abyste zabránili jejich vytečení.
