The Polar H9 Heart Rate Sensor is designed to provide accurate heart rate monitoring for various sports and fitness activities. This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Polar H9 sensor.

The Polar H9 sensor utilizes Bluetooth, ANT+, and 5 kHz technologies, allowing simultaneous connection to a wide range of sports watches, cycling computers, gym equipment, and third-party fitness applications.

Nastavení

1. Instalace baterie

The Polar H9 sensor uses a CR2025 button cell battery. Ensure the battery is correctly installed before first use. If replacing, use only a CR2025 battery. Other battery sizes may cause damage or malfunction.

1. Open the battery cover on the back of the sensor module by twisting it counter-clockwise with a coin.

2. Attaching the Sensor to the Strap

Snap the sensor module onto the two connectors on the chest strap. Ensure it is firmly attached.

For accurate heart rate measurement, the sensor must be worn correctly:

1. Moisten the electrode areas on the back of the strap with water.
2. Wrap the strap around your chest, just below your pectoral muscles.
3. Fasten the hook to the loop on the other end of the strap.

1. Pairing with Devices and Applications

The Polar H9 sensor supports Bluetooth, ANT+, and 5 kHz connections, allowing it to pair with a wide range of compatible devices simultaneously.

• For Bluetooth devices (e.g., smartphones, smartwatches):

  The Polar H9 automatically transmits heart rate data via 5 kHz when worn, allowing compatible gym equipment to detect your heart rate without manual pairing.

2. Starting a Training Session

Once paired, simply wear the H9 sensor and start your activity on your connected device or application. Your heart rate data will be transmitted in real-time.

Údržba

1. Cleaning the Strap

Regular cleaning of the chest strap is essential for hygiene and to ensure accurate readings. The strap is made of washable textile.

• Rinse the strap under running water after each use.
• Gently wash the strap with a mild soap solution when needed.
• Do not use strong detergents or bleach.
• Hang the strap to dry. Do not tumble dry or iron.

2. Výměna baterie

The Polar H9 sensor has an approximate battery life of 400 hours. When the battery is low, your connected device or application may indicate this. Replace the battery as follows:

1. Open the battery cover on the back of the sensor module by twisting it counter-clockwise with a coin.
