5.1 Attaching Adapter Rings

Select the appropriate adapter ring (67mm, 72mm, 77mm, or 82mm) that matches your lens's filter thread size. Screw the adapter ring onto the front of your lens until secure.

5.2 Mounting the Matte Box

The Mini Matte Box can be mounted in two ways:

• Clamp-Na: Align the matte box with the attached adapter ring on your lens. Secure it by tightening the small knob on the side of the matte box. Ensure a firm fit to prevent rotation.
• 15mm Rod Support: For heavier lenses or more secure setups, attach the Tiltaing Bottom Single 15mm Rod Holder and the Mini Matte Box 15mm Single Rod Support Attachment to your 15mm rod system. Then, mount the matte box onto this support.

5.3 Installing Filters

The matte box supports one 4x5.65 inch filter and multiple circular screw-on filters.

• 4x5.65 inch Filter: Slide the filter into the designated slot on the front of the matte box. Ensure it is seated correctly.
• Circular Filters: These can be screwed onto the front of the matte box's adapter ring, allowing for stacking if desired.

• Matte Box Feels Loose on Lens: Ensure the adapter ring is fully tightened onto the lens and the matte box's clamp knob is securely fastened. For heavier lenses or dynamic shooting, consider using the 15mm rod support for added stability.
• Vignetting with Wide-Angle Lenses: Vignetting (darkening at the corners of the image) can occur with very wide-angle lenses, especially when using multiple circular filters. Try removing circular filters or adjusting the lens focal length if possible. The matte box is designed to minimize vignetting but extreme wide-angle setups may still be affected.
• Kompatibilita filtru: Note that the Tilta Mini Matte Box is not compatible with Tilta's Variable ND Filter. If Variable ND filter compatibility is required, consider Tilta's Mirage-series Matte Boxes.
