2. Nastavení

2.1 Instalace baterie

The electronic lock requires a 9V battery for operation. It is recommended to use a new Duracell Coppertop 9V battery with an expiration date at least three years in the future, as electronic locks require a higher amperage output to function correctly.

1. Locate the plastic tab at the bottom of the electronic lock keypad.
2. Slide this tab open to reveal the battery compartment.
3. Disconnect the old 9V battery and remove it.
4. Connect the new 9V Duracell Coppertop battery to the connector.
5. Slide the new battery into the compartment and close the plastic tab securely.

3.1 Opening the Safe for the First Time

Before changing the combination, you must open the safe using the default combination.

1. Ensure a new 9V Duracell Coppertop battery is connected to the keypad.
2. Enter the default combination: 1-2-3-4-5-6.
3. Listen for a double beep, then turn the handle to open the door.
4. With the door open, extend the bolts by turning the handle to the locked position. This prevents accidental lockout while changing the combination.

3.2 Changing the Combination

Follow these steps to set a new personal combination for your safe. Ensure the safe door is open and the bolts are extended before proceeding.

1. Press and hold the '0' (zero) button on the keypad until you hear a double beep.
2. Enter the current combination (e.g., 1-2-3-4-5-6 for the first time). You will hear another double beep.
3. Enter your new 6-digit combination. You will hear a double beep.
4. Re-enter your new 6-digit combination to confirm. You will hear a final double beep, indicating the combination has been successfully changed.

3.3 Testing the New Combination

It is crucial to test your new combination multiple times with the safe door open before closing it to ensure it works correctly.

1. With the safe door open and bolts extended, enter your new 6-digit combination.
2. Turn the handle to retract the bolts. If successful, the bolts will retract.
3. Repeat this test 2-3 times to confirm reliability.
4. Once confirmed, you can confidently close and lock your safe with the new combination.
