1. Úvod

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your EdgeStar KC1000SS Craft Brew Kegerator. Please read all instructions carefully before installation and use. This unit is designed to store and dispense one sixth barrel or one Cornelius keg.

2. Bezpečnostní informace

3. Obsah balení

4. Nastavení

The following video provides a comprehensive guide for assembling your EdgeStar KC1000SS Kegerator, covering caster installation, guard rail and tower setup, CO2 tank and regulator connection, and beer line coupling.

4.1. Instalace koleček

Lay the unit on its back. Attach the casters to the bottom of the unit. Use a flat washer on the front two holes and attach the casters. Then, screw in the remaining two casters. (Refer to Video 1 for visual guidance).

4.2. Guard Rail and Tower Installation

Remove the plug from the top of the unit. Attach the railing by aligning it with the existing holes and pushing down. Mount the tower gasket, drop the beer line into the fridge, and then attach the four screws to the base of the tower. For twin faucet setups, align the tower gasket, then drop down the beer lines one at a time into the refrigerator. (Refer to Video 1 for visual guidance).

4.3. CO2 Tank and Regulator Setup

Mount the tank holder to the back of the unit by aligning the holes and pushing down into the slots. Slide the CO2 tank into the holder. Inspect your regulator to ensure the washer is pre-installed, then attach the regulator to the tank. Remove the plug from the back of the unit. From the inside of the refrigerator, slide the end of the gas line without the metal fitting through the back of the unit. Put a hose clamp on the end of the air line. Slide the line onto the bottom of the regulator and secure with a hose clamp. If the air line is difficult to install, dip the end of the hose into some hot water to soften up the line. 4.4. Coupler Connection

Remove the cover from the side of the coupler and inspect that the check valve is present. Remove the top cover. The coupler washer is located inside the cover. Install a washer into the hex nut fitting at the end of the beer line. Flip the coupler upside down and screw the fitting onto the coupler. Attach the other hex nut at the end of the air line to the side of the coupler. For twin faucet setups, attach the air line from the bottom of the T to the regulator, then the remaining two connections will attach to each coupler. (Refer to Video 1 for visual guidance).

Set your unit upright for 24 hours before plugging it in to allow the gases to settle. This is crucial for proper operation and longevity of the compressor. (Refer to Video 1 for visual guidance).

5. Návod k obsluze

5.1. Loading Kegs

The EdgeStar KC1000SS is designed to fit one sixth barrel or one Cornelius keg. Carefully place the keg inside the unit. Ensure all lines are properly connected and secured. It is important to keep your keg lines up above the tap level, or at least above the level of the beer in the keg, to prevent foaming.

5.2. Regulace teploty

The unit features a digital thermostat for precise temperature control. You can adjust the temperature between 32°F and 46°F using the "Cooler" and "Warmer" buttons. The internal blue LED lighting illuminates the interior. An internal circulation fan helps maintain consistent temperatures. For rapid cooling, utilize the "Deep Chill" function, which runs the compressor continuously to quickly lower the temperature to 32°F.

5.3. Čepování piva

Once the keg is loaded and the temperature is set, you can dispense your beverage. Pull the tap handle forward to pour. Ensure the beer is adequately chilled (typically 36-38°F for most beers) and the CO2 pressure is correctly set (5-8 PSI is often recommended) to prevent excessive foaming.

6. Údržba

6.1. Čištění odkapávací misky

The built-in drip tray is removable for easy cleaning. Simply lift it out and wash it with warm, soapy water. It can also be placed in a dishwasher.

6.2. Generální úklid

Regularly clean the interior and exterior of the unit with a mild detergent and soft cloth. Ensure all beer lines and couplers are cleaned periodically to maintain beverage quality and prevent bacterial growth. Refer to specialized beer line cleaning kits for best results.

7. Řešení problémů

• Excessive Foaming: Check beer temperature (should be 36-38°F). Verify CO2 pressure is set correctly (5-8 PSI). Ensure beer lines are clean and free of kinks.
• Beer Not Cold Enough: Confirm temperature setting on the digital thermostat. Ensure the unit has adequate ventilation and is not placed in direct sunlight or near heat sources. Allow sufficient time for new kegs to chill.
• Temperature Display Issues: If the digital thermostat displays an incorrect temperature, try cycling the F/C button to refresh the reading. If issues persist, consult customer support.
• Compressor Noise: Some compressor noise is normal during operation. If the noise is unusually loud or persistent, ensure the unit is level and not vibrating against other objects.
