Nastavení a instalace

Using as a Steering Compass
When mounted in its bracket, the 70UN functions as a steering compass. The main steering scale is located on the horizontal part of the compass, providing direct readings. The curved lubber line aids in swift and clear reading without parallax errors, allowing for accurate course keeping whether you are sitting or standing.
Using as a Sighting Compass
For taking bearings, detach the compass from its bracket and hold it level. Align the sighting mechanism (if present, or use the lubber line) with the object you wish to take a bearing to. Read the bearing directly from the compass card.
Illumination (70UNE Model Only)
If you have the 70UNE model, it includes built-in illumination for night navigation. This feature is powered by two watch batteries. To activate the illumination, operate the waterproof switch located on the compass. Ensure batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge for optimal performance.
