This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your Yale Y-MS0000NFP (DS-250) Medium Electronic Guest Safe. Please read all instructions carefully before installation and operation to ensure proper functionality and security.
The Yale Electronic Guest Safe offers a secure storage solution for valuables such as passports, jewelry, and cash. It features an electronic keypad for user-defined PIN codes and a master code for administrative access. The safe is designed with standard security features including an anti-bump solenoid and 16mm locking bolts.
Bezpečnostní informace
- Důležité: Do not store the mechanical override keys inside the safe. Keep them in a secure location outside the safe.

Nastavení
1. První otevření a instalace baterií
Upon receiving your safe, it will be locked. Use one of the provided mechanical override keys to open it for the first time and install the batteries.
- Locate the keyhole cover on the electronic keypad. This is usually a small removable panel or a rotating cover.
- Remove the keyhole cover to expose the keyhole.
- Insert one of the mechanical override keys into the keyhole and turn it clockwise to unlock the safe.
- While the key is turned, rotate the handle counter-clockwise to open the safe door.
- Inside the safe door, locate the battery compartment.
- Vložte 4 baterie typu AA a dbejte na správnou polaritu (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment. The safe is now powered and ready for programming.
- Remove the mechanical key and store it in a secure location away from the safe.

2. Montáž trezoru
For enhanced security, it is recommended to secure the safe to a floor or wall using the provided fixing bolts.
- Choose a suitable location for mounting, ensuring it is a solid surface (e.g., concrete floor, wooden stud).
- Otevřete dvířka trezoru. Na zadní a/nebo spodní straně trezoru najdete předvrtané otvory.
- Position the safe and mark the drilling points through the holes onto the mounting surface.
- Drill pilot holes into the marked points using an appropriate drill bit for your surface type.

- Tighten the bolts securely to fasten the safe in place.

1. Setting a User PIN Code
The safe allows users to set a personal 3 to 8 digit PIN code.
- With the safe door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the door (usually near the hinge). The keypad will beep, and the display will show "PROG".

- Press the "START" button to confirm. The display will show "GOOD" indicating successful programming.

2. Setting a Master Code (for Owners/Administrators)
A master code allows administrative access, useful for rental properties or hotels.
- With the safe door open, press the red reset button twice. The display will show "MASTER".

- Press the "START" button to confirm. The display will show "GOOD".
- Test the master code with the door open.
3. Opening the Safe with a PIN Code
- Enter your 3 to 8 digit user PIN code or the master code on the keypad.
- Press the "START" button. The display will show "OPEN" and the safe will unlock.
- Within 5 seconds, rotate the handle clockwise to open the safe door.
4. Zavření a uzamčení trezoru
- Zavřete dveře trezoru.
- Rotate the handle counter-clockwise to engage the locking bolts. The safe is now locked.
5. Funkce automatického uzamčení
If four incorrect PIN entries are made consecutively, the keypad will automatically lock down for 3 minutes. During this period, a 3-minute beep will sound. To stop the beep and reset the lockdown, use the mechanical override key to open the safe and press the inside reset button. This sequence will repeat after every four incorrect PIN entries.

Výměna baterie
The safe is powered by 4 AA batteries. When the battery power is low, the display will indicate "LOW BATT" or a similar warning. Replace the batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
- Open the safe door using your PIN code or the mechanical override key.
