4. Nastavení
4.1 Attaching the Ball Head to a Tripod
- Locate the 3/8-inch mounting screw on your tripod's center column or base plate.
- Align the base of the Manfrotto 496RC2 Ball Head with the tripod screw.
- Rotate the ball head clockwise onto the tripod screw until it is firmly secured. Ensure it is tightened sufficiently to prevent rotation during use.
4.2 Připevnění rychloupínací destičky k fotoaparátu
- Locate the tripod socket on the bottom of your camera or lens collar.
- Align the 1/4-inch screw on the 200PL Quick Release Plate with the camera's tripod socket.
- Use a coin or the integrated D-ring (if available) to tighten the screw securely. Ensure the plate is flush against the camera body and does not wobble.
4.3 Mounting the Camera onto the Ball Head
- Ensure the quick release locking lever on the ball head is in the open position. This may involve pressing a secondary safety lock.
- Slide the camera, with the attached quick release plate, into the receiver on the ball head.

5. Návod k obsluze
5.1 Adjusting Friction Control
The friction control knob allows you to set the resistance of the ball movement when the main locking lever is disengaged. This prevents the camera from flopping freely and allows for smoother, more controlled adjustments.
- Rotate the smaller knob (friction control) to increase or decrease the resistance.
- Adjust the friction until the camera moves smoothly but holds its position when released, before fully locking.
5.2 Using the Locking Lever
The main locking lever secures the ball head in position, preventing any movement. It also controls the panning motion of the base.
- To unlock the ball head and allow movement, rotate the large locking lever counter-clockwise.
- To lock the ball head in a desired position, rotate the large locking lever clockwise until it is firm. This will secure both the ball and the panning base.
- Repositioning the Lever: If the lever's position interferes with your camera or operation, pull the lever outwards from the ball head and rotate it to a more convenient angle. Release the lever to re-engage its locking mechanism.

5.3 Panning and Tilting
- When the main locking lever is loosened, the ball head allows for 360° rotation (panning) of the camera.
- The ball mechanism allows for a lateral tilt range of -90° to +90°, enabling vertical and angled shots.
- Always ensure the camera is balanced and supported when adjusting tilt, especially at extreme angles.
6. Údržba
- Regularly inspect the ball head for any signs of wear or damage.
- Clean the ball head with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Keep the quick release plate and receiver free of dust and debris to ensure a secure connection.
- Store the ball head in a clean, dry environment when not in use.
7. Řešení problémů
- Fotoaparát se nezamyká bezpečně: Ensure the quick release plate is properly attached to the camera and fully seated in the ball head's receiver. Verify the locking lever is pushed completely to the closed position. Check for any obstructions in the receiver.
- Ball head movement is too loose or too stiff: Adjust the friction control knob as described in Section 5.1.
- Ball head wobbles on tripod: Ensure the ball head is securely tightened onto the tripod's mounting screw.
- Difficulty repositioning the locking lever: Ensure you are pulling the lever outwards before rotating it to a new position.
