1. Monitoring Humidity with the OH-2 Digital Hygrometer
The OH-2 Digital Hygrometer provides accurate readings of humidity and temperature, monitoring your instrument's environment every 20 seconds. It displays current humidity and temperature, as well as maximum and minimum ranges, which can be reset at any time. The ideal "safe zone" for most wooden instruments is 40%-55% humidity and 70-78°F (21-26°C).
If your room environment is already within the safe 40-55% humidity range, humidification may not be necessary. In such cases, you can use the hygrometer feature without humidifying:

1. Refilling the Humidifier
Regularly check the humidifier sponge. If it feels dry or hard, it's time to rehydrate. Simply lift the top of the humidifier, touch the sponge, and if it's dry, follow the filling instructions in the Setup section.
When refilling, it is recommended to thoroughly flush out any remaining crystals from previous refills and start fresh. This helps ensure proper humidification and prevents clogging.
