  • Before use, check all probes and accessories for mechanical damage. Replace if damaged.
  • Remove all unused multimeter test probes, oscilloscope probes, and accessories (power adapter, USB, etc.) before use.
  • Plug the power adapter into the AC socket first, then connect it to the oscilloscope.

4. Nastavení a počáteční kontrola

4.1. Generální inspekce

Upon receiving your new oscilloscope, perform the following checks:

  1. Zkontrolujte, zda nebylo při přepravě poškozeno: Inspect the packaging carton and foam for serious damage. If found, do not discard packaging until the device and accessories pass electrical and mechanical tests.
  2. Zkontrolujte příslušenství: Refer to the packing list (Section 3.3) to ensure all accessories are present and undamaged. Contact your distributor if any items are missing or damaged.
  3. Zkontrolujte celý přístroj: Inspect the instrument for any physical damage. If the instrument does not work normally or fails performance tests, contact your distributor. Keep the original packaging if transportation damage is suspected.

4.2. Kompenzace sondy

When connecting a probe to any input channel for the first time, it is essential to adjust the probe compensation to match the input channel. Incorrect compensation can lead to measurement errors.

  1. Set the probe menu attenuation coefficient to 10X in the oscilloscope settings.
  2. Set the switch on the oscilloscope probe to 10X and connect it to the CH1 channel. Align the slot on the probe with the BNC connector, insert, and turn to tighten.
  3. Connect the probe tip and ground clamp to the probe compensator's signal output and reference ground terminals, respectively.
  4. Press the "Auto" key on the front panel. A square wave display (1kHz/3.3Vpp) should appear.
  5. Check the displayed waveform and adjust the probe until the compensation is correct. Repeat for CH2 if necessary.

4.3. Připojení k PC

The oscilloscope supports communication with a PC via USB for data storage, analysis, display, and remote control. Download the Oscilloscope software package from the official OWON website and follow the installation prompts.

  1. Spojení: Use a USB data cable to connect the USB Device port on the right panel of the Oscilloscope to a USB port on your PC.
  2. USB Port Settings: On the oscilloscope, navigate to SystémF4USB, and switch the USB protocol type to HID (Human Interface Device).

  • Trigger Status: Indicates Auto, Trig, Ready, Scan, or Stop modes.

5.1.2. Functional Check

To quickly verify proper operation:

  1. Press the power switch key. The device will perform self-checks and display the startup screen.
  2. Set the oscilloscope probe switch to 10X and connect to CH1.
  3. Connect the probe tip and ground clamp to the probe compensator.
  4. Press the "Auto" key. A 1kHz/3.3Vpp square wave should be displayed.

5.1.3. Vertical System

Adjust vertical scale, position, and other channel settings. Each channel has independent settings.

5.1.4. Horizontal System

5.1.5. Automatic Measurement

Stiskněte Rozsah a F1 to perform automatic measurements. Up to 9 types of measurements can be displayed. Available measurements include Frequency, Period, Amplitude, Maximum, Minimum, Peak-to-Peak value, Mean, RMS, Rise Time, Fall Time, +PulseWidth, -PulseWidth (depending on bandwidth model).

5.1.6. Měření kurzorem

Stiskněte Rozsah a F2 to activate cursor measurement. You can select CH1 Voltage, CH2 Voltage, or Time cursors. Use directional keys to move cursors A and B. Link A and B to move both simultaneously.

5.1.7. Trigger System

The trigger determines when the oscilloscope acquires and displays data. The HSA2300 series uses edge trigger mode. Trigger settings are displayed at the bottom right of the screen (e.g., CH1:DCF-20.0mV).

5.1.8. Save Settings

5.1.10. Automatická kalibrace

The automatic correction program optimizes the oscilloscope for accurate measurements. Execute this program if the ambient temperature changes by more than 5°C.

To perform: Disconnect all probes/wires. Press SystémF4F3 ("Auto calibration"). Confirm readiness and proceed.

5.2. Režim multimetru

The multimeter function uses four 4-mm safety banana plug input ends: A, mA, COM, and V→C.

5.3.2. Parameter Input Interface

Parameters are modified using the numeric keypad, Trig/△ button, and directional keys.

  • X (cancel button): Clears all input characters.
  • <- (back button): Deletes characters from right to left.
  • Unit buttons: Select appropriate units (X, GHz, MHz, kHz, Hz).

5.3.3. Frequency System

Access the frequency menu via F1 (Spectrum menu → Frequency) or directly via CH1/2.

  • Start Frequency: Activates the start frequency setting. Note that span and center frequency change automatically.
  • Stop Frequency: Activates the stop frequency setting.

5.3.5. Bandwidth System

Access the bandwidth menu via F1 (Spectrum menu → Bandwidth).

  • RBW (Resolution Bandwidth): Selects the resolution bandwidth. Reducing RBW increases frequency resolution but may lengthen sweep time.
  • VBW (Video Bandwidth): Selects the video bandwidth. Reducing VBW smooths the spectrum line and differentiates small signals from noise, but may lengthen sweep time.

5.3.6. Marker System

Access the marker menu via F1 (Spectrum menu → Marker).

  • Do not store the instrument in direct sunlight for prolonged periods.

6.2. Čištění

Regularly check and clean the instrument and probes:

  1. Wipe external surfaces with a soft cloth to remove dust. For the LCD, be careful not to scratch the protection screen.

  3. Do not use abrasive chemical cleaning agents to avoid damage.

6.3. Battery Charging and Replacement

The device uses a replaceable 18650 Lithium Battery (2600mAh*2, 3.7V).

  • If the device does not turn on after long-term storage, pre-charge for 0.5 to 1 hour using the attached adapter.
  • Charge regularly if not used for a long time to prevent over-discharge.
  • Charging via power adapter: Connect the oscilloscope to the power socket using the USB Type-C cable and power adapter.
  • Charging via USB interface: Connect the oscilloscope to a computer or other equipment via USB. Ensure the power supply equipment has sufficient load capacity.

7. Řešení problémů

  1. Osciloskop nelze zapnout.

    The battery may be completely exhausted. Charge the battery for 15 minutes without turning on the oscilloscope, then try again. If it still doesn't turn on, contact support.

    The battery may be exhausted. Check the battery symbol; if it indicates low, charge the device.

  3. After switching to the multimeter, the measurement type is displayed as 'E'.

    The measurement type may not be selected. Press F4 to select the corresponding measurement type. If 'E' persists, restart the oscilloscope.

  4. In oscilloscope state, the measured voltage amplitude is 10 times larger or smaller than the actual value.

    Check if the channel attenuation coefficient is consistent with the actual probe error ratio.

  5. In oscilloscope state, there is a waveform display, but it cannot be stabilized.
    • Check if the source item in the trigger mode menu matches the signal channel used.
    • Check if the trigger electrical level has exceeded the waveform range. Adjust parameters to stabilize the waveform.
  6. In oscilloscope state, nothing is displayed after pressing RUN/STOP.

    Check if the trigger mode is normal or single, and if the trigger electrical level is out of range. Center the trigger electrical level or set the trigger mode to automatic. Press Auto pro automatickou úpravu nastavení.

  7. In oscilloscope state, the display speed becomes slower when average value sampling is set or duration is longer.

9. Uživatelské tipy

  • For optimal performance, ensure probes are properly compensated before critical measurements.
  • Regularly check battery status, especially before extended use, to avoid unexpected shutdowns.
  • When connecting to a PC, remember to set the USB mode to HID for control or MSC for file převod.
  • If experiencing unstable waveforms, verify trigger settings and probe attenuation match your signal.

10. Záruka a podpora

10.1. General Warranty

OWON warrants that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase by the original purchaser. Accessories such as probes and adapters have a 12-month warranty. This warranty is non-transferable.

If the product is defective during the warranty period, OWON will repair or replace it. Replaced parts or products may be new or reconditioned. All replaced items become the property of OWON.

To obtain service, notify OWON before the warranty expires. The customer is responsible for packaging and shipping the defective product to the service center, along with proof of purchase.

This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by improper use, inadequate maintenance, unauthorized repairs, improper connection to incompatible equipment, use of non-OWON supplies, or modifications that increase servicing difficulty.

Excepting the after-sales services provided, OWON offers no other guarantees, express or implied, including for marketability or special-purpose acceptability. OWON is not responsible for any indirect, special, or consequential damages.
