1. Úvod

The MACHINIST X79 S7 Motherboard is designed to support Intel LGA 2011 pin series processors, including Intel Core and Xeon series. It features an Intel X79 Chipset, dual-channel DDR3 memory support, and an M.2 NVME slot for high-speed storage. This motherboard is ideal for gaming, audio & video editing, office use, and other general computing scenarios.

This product may come as a bundle including the motherboard, an Intel Xeon E5 2650 V2 CPU, and 16GB DDR3 ECC RAM. Please verify your specific package contents.

2. Nastavení a instalace

2.1 Obsah balení

Před zahájením instalace se ujistěte, že jsou přítomny všechny komponenty:

• CPU Cooling Fan Bracket (if included in bundle)
• SATA kabel

• Intel Xeon E5 2650 V2 CPU (if included in bundle)

2.2 Rozložení základní desky

Familiarize yourself with the motherboard layout and its various connectors and components.

2.3 Instalace CPU

Please install the CPU into the LGA 2011 socket as shown in the diagram below. Always unplug the power cord before installing or removing the CPU to prevent hardware damage.

1. Press the lever with your hand and lift it up.
2. Zvedněte krytku slotu CPU a sejměte černý ochranný kryt.
3. Align the CPU base with the card slot on top of the CPU. After confirming it is correct, lower the CPU carefully and place it in place.
4. After installation, put down the CPU slot buckle cover and snap back the lever.

Důležité: Do not touch the motherboard interface pins. Do not touch the CPU pins to contact the core.

Poznámka: Motherboard before delivery will undergo strict testing. After receiving the package, for your personal rights, please take a complete unpacking video (including order number). If there is a situation on the left (e.g., bent pins), please contact customer service in time.

2.4 Instalace paměti

The motherboard provides four DDR3 DIMM slots, each supporting up to 64GB for a maximum capacity of 256GB. It supports dual-channel DDR3 ECC/RECC/Desktop RAM at speeds of 800/1066/1333/1600/1866MHz.

1. Vytáhněte západky na obou stranách paměťového slotu směrem ven.
2. Insert the memory into the slot by aligning it with the notch.
3. Paměť uzamkněte překlopením západek na obou stranách slotu.

Důležité:

• Make sure the motherboard supports the memory. It is recommended to use memory of the same capacity, brand, speed, and chips.
• Před instalací paměti vždy vypněte počítač a odpojte napájecí kabel.
• Memory modules have a foolproof design; they can only be installed in one direction. If you cannot insert it, switch the direction.
• Stabilita a kompatibilita instalovaného paměťového modulu závisí na instalovaném CPU a zařízeních při přetaktování.
• Tato základní deska poskytuje dvě paměťové zásuvky a podporuje technologii Dual Channel. Dvoukanálový režim nelze aktivovat, pokud je nainstalován pouze jeden paměťový modul.
• The motherboard middle memory slots (#2/#3) do not work alone. A single RAM module must be installed in slot #1. For dual RAM, install preferentially in slot #1 and slot #4.

2.5 Instalace rozšiřující karty

The motherboard provides one PCI Express 3.0 x16 and one PCI Express 2.0 x1 expansion slot. Place the expansion card in an available PCI Express slot and press it until it is fully inserted.

Důležité:

• When adding or removing expansion cards, always turn off the power supply and unplug the power cable.
• Incorrect installation may cause a short circuit, damaging the expansion card or motherboard.

2.6 Connecting Peripherals (Back Panel Connectors)

Connect your external devices to the appropriate ports on the back panel.

• Port PS/2: Green for mouse, blue for keyboard.
• USB porty: 2.0 Six USB 2.0 interfaces (480Mbps, hot-swappable).
• Port RJ45 LAN: Provides Internet connection up to 1000Mbps.
• Zvukové porty: Line-in (for audio input devices), Line-out (for audio output), Mic-in (for microphone).

2.7 Vnitřní konektory

Connect internal components such as front panel headers, storage devices, and fans.

• F_PANEL1 Connector: For front panel power LED, power switch, HDD LED, and reset switch.
• SPK1 Connector: For the system buzzer.
• F_AUDIO1 Connector: Pro audio konektory na předním panelu.
• SATA konektory: One SATA 3.0 (6Gb/s) and three SATA 2.0 (3Gb/s) connectors. Each supports a single SATA device.
• Slot M.2: Supports NVME M.2/NGFF M.2 SSDs. Adjust the jumper cap to switch M.2 mode. Insert SSD at a 30-degree angle and secure with a screw.

• JBAT1: Clear CMOS: To clear CMOS settings, pull out the cap to cover pins 2 and 3 for about 3 minutes, then restore to initial state (pins 1 and 2 covered). Always turn off the computer and unplug the power cord before discharging.
• Napájecí konektory: One 24-pin main power connector and one 8-pin CPU power connector. Ensure a power supply of at least 500W is used for stability.
• Konektory ventilátorů: CPU_FAN1 (4-pin for CPU cooler), SYS_FAN1 (3-pin for system fan), P_FAN_1 (2-pin for MOS tube-cooling fan). Note that 4-pin and 3-pin fans do not have PWM speed regulation.
• USB konektory: F_USB2 (front USB 2.0 header), FP_USB30_1 (looks like USB 3.0 but is USB 2.0 specification).

3. Návod k obsluze

3.1 Nastavení systému BIOS

The BIOS (Basic Input and Output System) records hardware parameters and manages system startup. It performs a Power-On Self-Test (POST) and loads the operating system. The BIOS Setup program allows modification of basic system configurations.

Důležité: BIOS flashing is risky. Only flash if necessary and with caution. Inadequate flashing may cause system malfunction. The default settings offer optimal performance and stability.

3.2 Enter BIOS Setup

When the computer is turned on, BIOS enters the self-test process. After the self-test, press the "DEL" key to enter the BIOS Setup Menu, or use the "Quick Boot Key" (F7).

If the message disappears, turn off and restart your computer, or press <Reset>. You can also press <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<Delete> to restart.

3.3 Reset BIOS

To restore default BIOS settings, short the Clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard. Ensure the computer is off before clearing CMOS data.

4. Údržba

4.1 Obecná péče

• Keep the motherboard and components clean and free from dust. Use compressed air for cleaning.
• Nevystavujte základní desku extrémním teplotám nebo vlhkosti.

• Handle the motherboard with care to avoid physical damage or static discharge.

4.2 Chladicí systém

The motherboard is equipped with two aluminum alloy radiators for heat suppression. It includes a 2PIN 5V fan interface for VRM cooling upgrades.

5. Řešení problémů (Často kladené otázky)

5.1 No Boot

Computer does not respond (fan not rotating, indicator light not lit):

1. Vymazat CMOS.
2. Check CPU model compatibility with the motherboard.
3. Verify motherboard and CPU power supplies are plugged in, and chassis power switch is on.
4. Check if chassis power-on cable is properly plugged in.
5. Ensure power supply is good.
6. Unplug graphics card, hard disk, USB, and other devices, then try to boot.
7. Vyměňte CPU.

5.2 Start-up - Shutdown

Computer starts, fan runs briefly, then turns off:

1. Vymazat CMOS.
2. Check CPU model compatibility with the motherboard.
3. Replace CPU and troubleshoot if CPU is faulty.
4. Replace RAM and check if RAM is faulty.
5. Unplug graphics card, hard disk, USB device, then reboot.

5.3 Repeated Reboots

Computer restarts repeatedly:

1. Vymazat CMOS.
2. Check CPU model compatibility with the motherboard.
3. Replace CPU and troubleshoot if CPU is faulty.
4. Replace RAM and check if RAM is faulty.
5. Unplug graphics card, hard disk, USB, and other devices, then reboot.

5.4 Žádný displej

Fan is rotating, keyboard indicator does not respond:

1. Vymazat CMOS.
2. Check motherboard and CPU power supplies.
3. Check memory stick installation location and ensure it's correctly inserted (refer to section 2.4).
4. Zkontrolujte kompatibilitu modelu CPU a paměti.
5. Replace CPU and check if CPU is faulty.
6. Replace memory and check if memory is faulty.

Fan is rotating, keyboard light responds:

1. Zkontrolujte, zda je monitor zapnutý.
2. Check monitor display cable (DP, HDMI, DVI, VGA) is plugged in.
3. If using integrated graphics (e.g., non-F suffix CPUs), ensure CPU has integrated graphics. If not, an external graphics card is required.
4. Check monitor cable is inserted in the right place: motherboard display interface for no external graphics card, graphics card display interface for external graphics card.
5. Replace monitor cable and check if it's faulty.
6. Replace graphics card and check if it's faulty.

5.5 Blue Screen, Crash

1. Check heat dissipation: CPU cooler fan rotating, cooler base and CPU tightly fitted, thermal paste applied.
2. Vyměňte CPU.
3. Vyměňte paměť.
4. Vyměňte pevný disk.
5. Vyměňte systém.
6. Vyměňte napájecí zdroj.

• Instalace paměti: For optimal performance and to ensure proper function, install a single RAM module in slot #1. If using two RAM modules, prioritize installation in slot #1 and slot #4. The middle memory slots (#2/#3) do not function independently.
