POU Installation Rail with Brita Scale Filter & Carbon Block Filter (BPFRAILKIT)
The following information is provided to facilitate connecting a POU water boiler to mains water. If you are in any doubt, please consult a plumber or the building/facilities manager. The components in this kit have been selected to ensure that the installation complies with WRAS guidelines.

How to connect the BPFRAILKIT
- Isolate water supply at stop cock or isolation valve.
- Cut the copper pipe leaving enough room to install the Tee piece, or elbow piece if the mains pipe is in a vertical position. The cut piece of copper can be used to connect the brass Tee or elbow piece to the double check valve. It is recommended to use support clips for pipe work.
- Install the BPFRAILKIT components in the order shown in the picture.
- Check that the water block has been installed vertically with the flow direction pointing down.
- Follow Brita’s installation instructions for flushing when installing and changing the filter.
- Ensure the carbon filter has been flushed for 2 minutes before connecting to the cooler.
- Thoroughly check all pipe work before commissioning and leaving site.
Plumbing & Filter kits for boiler installations in soft water areas
In soft water areas there would be no need for a more expensive scale removal filter. You can use our standard installation rails. The PFRAILKIT with a Carbon Block candle or our PFRAILKITNANO with a Nanofilter candle are suitable alternatives.
