The Thule Vero 2 is designed for a 2-inch hitch receiver. Ensure your vehicle is equipped with a compatible receiver. Insert the rack's hitch arm into your vehicle's 2-inch receiver. Secure it using the provided threaded anti-wobble bolt and pin. Tighten the bolt sufficiently to eliminate any wobble between the rack and the hitch receiver. Always insert the safety pin after tightening the bolt.

3.2 Preparing for Bike Loading

Before loading bikes, remove the ratcheting posts from the vertical bars and set them aside. This prevents potential scratches to your bikes during loading. If using the optional loading ramp, attach it to the designated end cap on the rack's tray.

Tighten the post firmly.

4.2 Securing Bikes

After securing the bike with the vertical post, use the wheel straps to firmly hold both the front and rear wheels in place. Adjust the wheel chocks (if applicable) to fit snugly against the tires before ratcheting down the straps. Ensure straps are tight but do not overtighten to avoid damaging spokes or rims. Repeat the process for the second bike.

4.3 Folding and Tilting the Rack

The rack can be folded upwards against the vehicle when not in use to reduce its footprint. It can also be tilted downwards, even with bikes loaded, to allow access to the vehicle's trunk or tailgate.
