X-Sense SD20-W Smoke Alarm

The SD20-W is a wireless interconnected smoke detector designed to detect smoke and alert occupants. Its housing is constructed from flame-retardant and high-temperature resistant ABS material, ensuring durability and safety. It features a test/silence button and an LED indicator for status updates.

X-Sense SC07-W Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector

The SC07-W is a wireless interconnected alarm that detects both smoke and carbon monoxide (CO). It includes an LCD display that shows real-time CO levels (from 30 to 999 ppm), battery level, and working status. This alarm also features a test/silence button and LED indicators.

The RC01 remote controller provides a convenient way to test all interconnected alarms and mute false alarms without needing to physically reach each unit. This is particularly useful for alarms installed in high or hard-to-reach locations.

• Install smoke alarms on every level of your home, including basements, and in every sleeping area.
• Install carbon monoxide alarms on every level of your home and near sleeping areas.
• Avoid installing alarms near windows, doors, or vents where drafts could interfere with detection.
• Keep alarms at least 20 feet (6 meters) away from combustion sources like furnaces, water heaters, and space heaters.

Mounting the Alarms

Your X-Sense alarms are designed for wireless interconnection, allowing all alarms to sound when one detects a hazard. Up to 24 X-Sense Link+ wireless alarms can be linked via radio frequency.

1. Ensure all alarms are powered on.
2. On one alarm (the primary alarm), press the test/silence button three times quickly. The LED indicator will flash rapidly, indicating it's in pairing mode.
3. Within 60 seconds, press the test/silence button on each subsequent alarm twice quickly. The LED indicator on these alarms will also flash rapidly.
4. Once all alarms are paired, press the test/silence button on the primary alarm once to exit pairing mode.
5. Test the interconnection by pressing the test/silence button on any one alarm. All interconnected alarms should sound.

Pairing the Remote Controller (RC01)

1. Ensure the remote controller has a working battery.
2. On any interconnected alarm, press the test/silence button three times quickly to enter pairing mode.
3. Within 60 seconds, press the "TEST/X" button on the remote controller once. The remote's LED will flash, and the alarm's LED will confirm pairing.
4. Press the test/silence button on the alarm once to exit pairing mode.
5. Test the remote by pressing its "TEST/X" button. All interconnected alarms should sound.

Operating Your Alarms

It is recommended to test your alarms weekly to ensure proper operation.

Silencing Alarms (Hush Mode)

In case of a false alarm (e.g., from cooking fumes), you can temporarily silence the alarms.

The alarm will enter hush mode for approximately 9 minutes. If the smoke or CO concentration remains high after this period, the alarm will reactivate.

Understanding LED Indicators and LCD Display (SC07-W)

Cleaning Your Alarms

Clean your alarms at least once a month to remove dust and debris that could interfere with their operation.

• Gently vacuum around the alarm's vents and openings using a soft brush attachment.
• Do NOT use cleaning solvents or sprays directly on the alarm.
• Do NOT paint the alarm.

The SD20-W and SC07-W alarms are equipped with a 10-year sealed lithium battery, designed to last the entire lifespan of the alarm. The RC01 remote controller uses a replaceable battery (typically a CR2032 coin cell). Replace the remote's battery when its indicator light dims or it becomes unresponsive.
