1. Nastavení brzdového systému

The Slammer Dura Drag System allows for precise control over line tension. Turn the drag knob clockwise to increase drag and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Adjust the drag setting based on the line strength and the target fish species to prevent line breakage and ensure effective fish fighting.

2. Casting and Retrieval

To cast, open the bail, hold the line with your index finger, and swing the rod forward. Release the line as the rod reaches the desired casting angle. After the lure or bait lands, close the bail manually or by turning the handle. Retrieve the line by turning the handle, ensuring smooth and consistent motion.

Uneven Line Lay

If the fishing line is not spooling evenly on the reel, resulting in a cone-shaped line lay, this can often be corrected by adjusting the spool spacers. The PENN Slammer IV reel comes with spacers that can be added or removed from the main shaft, beneath the spool.

• If the line builds up more towards the front (top) of the spool, add one or more spacers to raise the spool.
• If the line builds up more towards the back (bottom) of the spool, remove one or more spacers to lower the spool.

Experiment with adding or removing spacers one at a time until an even line lay is achieved. Ensure the reel is properly assembled after any adjustments.
