Zavedení

This manual provides essential information for the installation, setup, operation, and maintenance of your RockShox Yari RC Suspension Fork. Designed for demanding trail and enduro riding, the Yari RC offers a robust 35mm chassis, 160mm travel, and a refined Motion Control IS damper for optimal performance. Please read these instructions carefully before use to ensure proper function and longevity of your fork.

Nastavení

1. Instalace

The RockShox Yari RC Suspension Fork is designed for 27.5-inch wheels and features a tapered steerer tube for compatibility with modern mountain bike frames. It supports post-mount 180 brake compatibility. Professional installation by a certified bicycle mechanic is recommended to ensure correct and safe fitting to your bicycle frame and wheel.

2. Air Spring Adjustment

The air spring pressure must be set according to your rider weight and riding style. Refer to the air pressure guide located on the fork's lower leg or the official RockShox website for recommended settings. Use a high-pressure shock pump to add or release air through the Schrader valve located on the top of the left fork leg. Incorrect air pressure can lead to poor performance or damage.

3. Doskok Damping Úprava

Odskok damping controls the speed at which the fork extends after compression. The Yari RC features a Rapid Recovery rebound system. The rebound adjuster (typically a red dial) is located at the bottom of the right fork leg. Turn the dial clockwise for slower rebound (more damping) and counter-clockwise for faster rebound (less damping). Adjust to prevent the fork from packing up on successive bumps or kicking back too quickly.

4. Compression Damping Úprava

The Motion Control IS damper allows for adjustable low-speed compression. The compression adjuster (typically a blue dial) is located on the top of the right fork leg. This adjustment affects how the fork responds to slow, sustained compressions, such as pedaling forces or gradual terrain changes. Turn the dial clockwise to increase compression damping (firmer ride) and counter-clockwise to decrease it (softer ride).

Provozní

Once properly set up, the Yari RC fork is designed to absorb impacts and maintain tire contact with the ground, enhancing control and comfort. During riding, the fork will compress and extend, adapting to the terrain. The Fast Black coating on the upper tubes reduces friction, contributing to smooth operation. Regularly check that all adjustments are secure before each ride.

Údržba

Regular maintenance is crucial for the performance and longevity of your suspension fork.

  • Čištění: After each ride, clean the stanchions (upper tubes) and seals with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid high-pressure washers directly on seals.
  • Inspekce: Periodically inspect the fork for any signs of damage, leaks, or loose components. Check the Fast Black coating for scratches or wear.
  • Servisní intervaly: For detailed service schedules, including lower leg service and full damper service, refer to the official RockShox service manuals available on their website. Adhering to these intervals ensures optimal performance and prevents premature wear.

Odstraňování problémů

  • Fork feels too soft or bottoms out easily: Increase air pressure in the air spring. Check for air leaks.
  • Fork feels too stiff or harsh: Decrease air pressure. Check compression damping setting (turn counter-clockwise).
  • Fork extends too slowly (packs up): Increase rebound speed (turn rebound dial counter-clockwise).
  • Fork extends too quickly (kicks back): Decrease rebound speed (turn rebound dial clockwise).
  • Unusual noises or excessive play: Stop riding immediately and have the fork inspected by a qualified mechanic.
