1. Úvod

The APC Back-UPS BX1400UI is an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) designed to protect your electronic equipment from power outages, surges, and spikes. 2. Důležité bezpečnostní informace

4. Nastavení

4.1. Vybalení a připojení baterie

2. Locate the yellow battery connector on the rear panel of the UPS. This connector is typically disconnected for safe transport.
3. Push the yellow battery connector firmly into its socket until it clicks into place. This activates the UPS battery circuits.

1. Connect the UPS to a grounded 230V AC wall outlet using an appropriate IEC-320 C14 input power cable (not included).
2. Ensure the connection is direct to the wall outlet. Do not use surge protectors or extension cords.
3. Allow the UPS to charge for at least 10 hours before connecting critical equipment to ensure full battery runtime.

4.3. Připojení zařízení

The BX1400UI features six IEC 320 C13 outlets for connecting your devices.

5. Návod k obsluze

5.1. Zapnutí/vypnutí

• Zapnutí: Press and hold the power button on the front panel until you hear a short beep. The UPS will perform a self-test, and the 'On Line' LED will illuminate green.
• Vypnutí: Stiskněte a podržte tlačítko napájení, dokud se UPS nevypne.

5.2. LED indikátory

The front panel features LED indicators to show the UPS status:

7. Použití softwaru

The APC Back-UPS BX1400UI supports USB Human Interface Device (HID) class specifications, allowing it to be recognized by most operating systems without special drivers.

7.1. APC PowerChute Personal Edition (Windows)

For advanced monitoring and management on Windows systems, download the APC PowerChute Personal Edition software from the official APC webwebu. Tento software vám umožňuje:

• Configure automatic shutdown of your computer during extended power outages.

For Linux environments, the UPS can be managed using `apcupsd` or Network UPS Tools (NUT). These tools provide similar monitoring and shutdown capabilities. Refer to the documentation for `apcupsd` or NUT for configuration details, typically involving specifying `UPSCABLE usb` and `UPSTYPE usb` for `apcupsd`, or using the `usbhid-ups` driver for NUT.

8. Údržba

8.1. Výměna baterie

The APC Back-UPS BX1400UI uses two 12V 7.2Ah sealed lead-acid batteries. The recommended replacement battery pack is APC RBC113.

• During Warranty: If the unit is still under its 2-year warranty, battery replacement must be performed by Schneider Electric IT (SEIT) customer service. User-performed battery replacement during the warranty period will automatically void the warranty.
• After Warranty: After the warranty period, batteries can be replaced by the user. However, due to the presence of high voltage components even when disconnected, it is highly recommended that this operation be performed by specialized personnel. If you choose to replace the batteries yourself, exercise extreme caution.
• Konec postupuview (for experienced users only): Disconnect the UPS from all power sources and connected equipment. Disconnect the yellow battery connector. Remove the rear panel screws, then the front panel (which is snap-fitted), and additional screws. Carefully access the battery compartment. Note the orientation and wiring of the existing batteries (taking photos is recommended) to ensure correct installation of the new batteries.

8.2. Resetování jističe

In case of an overload, the UPS may trip its circuit breaker. To reset, disconnect some equipment from the UPS, then press the circuit breaker button located on the rear panel (refer to Figure 2).
