Zavedení

This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Avaya 1408 Digital Deskphone. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper functionality and to maximize your user experience.

Nastavení

1. Unpacking the Phone

2. Sestavení stolního stojanu

Attach the desk stand to the back of the phone unit. Ensure it clicks securely into place. The stand allows for adjustable viewing úhly.

3. Připojení sluchátka

Connect one end of the coiled handset cord to the handset and the other end to the port labeled with a handset icon on the side of the phone base.

4. Connecting to the Network and Power

The Avaya 1408 Digital Deskphone supports Power over Ethernet (PoE). If your network switch provides PoE, connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the back of the phone and the other end to a PoE-enabled network port. The phone will power on automatically.

If PoE is not available, an external power supply (not included) is required. Connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN port and the external power supply to the power port on the phone, then plug the power supply into a wall outlet.

Návod k obsluze

Uskutečnění hovoru

1. Zvedněte sluchátko nebo stiskněte tlačítko Reproduktor tlačítko.
2. Vytočte požadované číslo pomocí klávesnice.
3. Stiskněte tlačítko Volání or Vytáčení softkey (if available on screen) or wait for the call to connect automatically.

Přijetí hovoru

• Alternatively, press the flashing line button associated with the incoming call.

Ukončení hovoru

• Place the handset back in the cradle.

Ovládání hlasitosti

Použijte Objem buttons (up/down arrows) on the phone to adjust the handset, speakerphone, or ringer volume during a call or when idle.

Funkce ztlumení

Stiskněte tlačítko Ztlumit tlačítko pro ztlumení mikrofonu během hovoru. Opětovným stisknutím ztlumení zapnete.

Funkce Hold

Během aktivního hovoru stiskněte Držet button to place the call on hold. Press the flashing line button or the Držet button again to retrieve the call.

Conference Calls (3-Way)

1. Během aktivního hovoru stiskněte Konference button (or a softkey labeled Conf). The first call will be placed on hold.
2. Dial the number of the second party.
3. Jakmile druhá strana odpoví, stiskněte Konference znovu stiskněte tlačítko pro připojení všech tří skupin.

ID volajícího

The phone's display will show the incoming caller's number and name (if available) for incoming calls.

Víceřádkový provoz

The Avaya 1408 supports multiline operation, allowing you to manage multiple calls simultaneously using the dedicated line buttons on the phone.

Digital Answering System / Voicemail

The phone features a digital answering system with a recording capacity of up to 18 minutes. Access voicemail by pressing the Zpráva button or following your system administrator's instructions.

Údržba

Čištění telefonu

• Před čištěním odpojte telefon od zdroje napájení.
• Použijte měkký, damp hadřík k otření povrchu telefonu.
• Nepoužívejte abrazivní čisticí prostředky, rozpouštědla ani silné chemikálie, protože by mohly poškodit plastový materiál.

Odstraňování problémů

• Zkontrolujte napájení: Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected to a PoE-enabled port or that the external power adapter (if used) is properly connected and plugged into a working outlet.

Cannot Hear or Be Heard During a Call
