3. Insert the pins for the crank handles. Apply a small amount of grease to the hole in the vise screw and the pin itself. Align the holes by pushing the vise screw towards you, then gently tap the pin into place with a small hammer until seated.
4. After assembly, turn both cranks with both hands several times fully back and forth to ensure the belt and vise screws operate smoothly and to loosen any initial stiffness.

The included swivel pegs (bench dogs) can be inserted into the holes on the work surface to secure irregularly shaped objects or to provide additional clamping points. Experiment with different peg placements to best suit your workpiece.
